Arkansas Payment Improvement Initiative's PCMH Program

As part of the Arkansas Payment Improvement Initiative (APII), the state has selected Qualis Health to provide patient-centered medical home (PCMH) consulting services to primary care practices located throughout Arkansas.

Arkansas' PCMH initiative is an innovative program designed to reward high-quality, coordinated and efficient care. (The program is outlined in this April 2013 slide set.) Eligibility criteria, participation requirements and other important details are available in a draft Provider Manual; the final version is scheduled to be released October 2.

Qualis Health is the initiative's only pre-qualified consultant. If your practice chooses to take advantage of our in-depth technical assistance, you may be eligible to receive monthly incentive payments from the APII. Join our mailing list to be notified when the state has finalized details about the project, and to learn more about our role to assist participating Arkansas practices.

Our Expertise

Qualis Health has assisted more than 1,000 primary care practices across the country begin transitioning to the PCMH model; many of those are now NCQA-recognized medical homes.

In 2008 we co-developed a PCMH transformation framework, The Change Concepts for Practice Transformation. It is supported by a comprehensive library of training materials that provides detailed descriptions and real examples of transformation strategies.

For the APII project, our consulting staff will assess each participating practice then tailor our approach and resources to best fit individual needs. Our flexible approach will help Arkansas practices take full advantage of new payment models, increase provider and staff satisfaction, and help improve the quality of care provided to all their patients.
